I'm currently in the middle of updating the window treatments in my living room/dining room area but while I'm waiting for those to be done, I thought I'd share more pictures of Gertie. I didn't take very many to start with for her reveal (I told you I'm not a photographer!).
Here's how my drawers are laid out;
In the silver drawer, I took advantage of the dividers by placing packets of apple cider and black tea bags in it. On the right divider, I'm saving it for another yummy drink that I might come across in the future. For now it houses the Keurig accessories.
As you can see, the middle drawer is reserved for the many types of k-cups that we have with room for even more! I'll probably end up building an insert that will divide them all, but for now, this works just fine!
The right hand drawer is for storing mugs! It's the perfect size and it holds all my mugs without issue!
The bottom left cabinet is currently serving as my k-cup overflow and storage for all things Keurig and hot beverage related.
Remember those old dishes/bowls I told you about, well this is where I'm storing them (right hand cabinet) until I can find a new use for them, or sell them at a yard sale.
Now for some close ups of the detail in the finishing. I am sooo in love with milk paint right now. Love the way this turned out!
Until I get some other coffee dressings (creamer, sugar in the raw, etc.) I just filled the middle vase (yes it is a vase) with more tea packets.
Loved this little bin. I bought it on decorsteals.com. It came in a set of two with the other one being larger and longer, only slightly, for a seriously great price! It came with a little chalkboard tag on the front already - and chalk! Great place to put the spent k-cups and sweetener packet wrappers.
So, there you have it! That's my Gorgeous Gertie and I love her more and more everyday! I still have yet to fill the center cabinet with anything. That's a good thing right now. :-) I'm a bit of a pack rat!
My next goal is to start decorating for fall, but right now, I'm still in build mode. My next project for that room is to FINALLY build my farmhouse table!
