My first build from Ana White's new Book...

I'm excited to share with you today my latest finished project (notice how I said "finished". That's cause my garage is full of half finished, or not even started projects!)

I pre-ordered Ana White's first book, "The Handbuilt Home" and because I did so, I got some extra plans as a bonus to the book. One of those plans was for a headboard that I immeidately fell in love with. I've been eye balling her Farmhouse Bed for a long time and just didn't want to commit to a project that large, taking up much needed and valuable realestate in my garage... so I put it off. Until I saw this...

This is NOT the headboard from the bonus plans, but it is the closet fascimile to what IS there. When I laid eyes on it, I knew it had to be mine... you see, I haven't ever had a headboard my whole adult life. I know, sad really, but I could never afford a gorgeous bedroom set and at that time of my life, I didn't know that I could build one so... I went without. Until now!

Here's how mine turned out. What do you think?

Tracy--I love it! It turned out great! My oldest was telling me just last night that his legs are getting cramped on the twin with the foot boards. This looks like something that would go well in his room. Great job as usual ;)

I'm thinking about moving my blog to an external site because this one is NOT user friendly. Looks great Tracy.. Dakota is building me the farm house bed frame in wood shop for our spare room. I can't wait until it is finished. Keep up the great work!!
